Stacy Spurr Memorial Scholarship
Nac Foster Rescue obtained our non-profit status in 2017 with the help of Stacy Spurr. Stacy was our accountant and one of our foster moms. She passed away in 2022 after a courageous battle with Acute Myeloid Leukemia, and we created this scholarship in her memory. Beginning in 2023, we have awarded $1,000 scholarships to Nacogdoches County high school seniors pursuing degrees in pre-veterinary medicine, animal sciences, or certification as a veterinary technician. We would love to award more scholarships to these deserving students. If you would like to donate to our scholarship fund, please see the tab for donations and include a note that your contribution is for the Stacy Spurr Memorial Scholarship.
